The Waterfalls
Las Cascadas is the only property with direct views of Montezuma's famous waterfalls.
Turn from the property's panoramic views of the ocean, and your eyes fall upon the Río Montezuma descending in cascades and pools though its ravine of lush, tropical forest. The upper falls drop 15 feet (5 meters) into a large pool and then flows over the middle, 40-foot (13 meter) falls into another large pool. Finally, it drops from the middle pool over the spectacular 130 foot (40 meter) lower Montezuma falls into a wide, deep swimming lake.
The property enjoys the only private access to the middle and lower waterfalls, river, and pools, which occupy its southern and western boundaries. If you work up a sweat hiking or horseback riding, you can walk the property's short, private footpath and dive into pools of cool, clean freshwater.
